Thurdistoft Farmhouse is an old traditional farmhouse located close to the NC500, within walking distance (0.5 miles) of Dunnet Beach , Castletown, Thurso, Caithness and is on the North No.1 Cycle Route.
Dogs welcome, (must be notified at booking, extra charges apply). We have a shared dog walking field and great local dog walking on Dunnet Beach and Forest. Sorry, we cannot accommodate cats.
The house enjoys beautiful sea views.
A favourite for family or work groups and sleeping up to nine people, the house is ideally placed for the Castle of Mey or all ferry ports to Orkney, including the day trip from John O’Groats.
Guests have access to the entire house including the kitchen, dining room, living room, games room(kids must be supervised) and 2 gardens, the back garden is enclosed and has immediate access from the living room so is ideal for small children.
There is a shared car park to the rear of house. There is also a secure, shared bike shed and drying room. Secure storage for motorcycles is also available by arrangement.
The neighbouring old farm steading and other nearby fields cannot be accessed by guests due to health and safety policy. As a courtesy to the other guests and neighbouring residential properties, we request that guests keep noise to a minimum.
